このカテゴリとも12月までおさらばですね。
試写会に行かれた方々のお話を読むのがとても楽しい。
米加のレビューが手ひどいものばかりだったので、
日本の方の絶賛具合に度肝を抜かれます。
わたしも歴史ものは好きなので期待してはいるのですが、
あまりストーリーを追うことには興味がないと言いましょうか。
Russellは演技派で通っているそうなので、
どちらかといえばそういう細かさを重視したい。
あとは仲間との掛け合い。ほんとうはそれが一番楽しみ。
米加のレビューは、作品それ自体よりもMM3人への評価が高かったので。
まぁそこは文化の違いでしょう、笑いのツボというか面白さの力点というか。
日本ではああいうのはどういう風に取られるのでしょうか……。
OKPにKevinとAlanのインタビューがありましたので拾ってきました。
Ｑ＆Ａ
オーディションの話と訓練のときの話。
待合室行ったらテーブルに居るひとたちの顔ぶれったらないという話。
ギター持って行って台本読んでいたことだけ覚えている、とのこと。
それから訓練がキツくて、KevinもAlanも甘く見ていたと言っている。
個人的に気に入ったラインが、
Alan: There's a 6 in the morning?
「6時なんて朝にあったっけ？」これがすごくAlanっぽい！
6時っていうのは開場の時間ですよ、ねぇ（笑）
全体的に、読んでいて楽しいインタビューです。
最後！ オープンエンディングには続編の噂がありますが？ という質問に、
やってもいいよと答えるKevinとAlan。
特にAlan、ぜひチャレンジしてほしい、って。
この野郎、と思ったのは内緒だ。
それから

Kevin: I just stopped brushing.
シャワーがね、とある撮影中使えなかったそうなんです。MMだけ。
野趣を出したかったのかもしれません。なんというリアリティの追求。
道理でむさくるしいような映画だと思ったんだ。
ティーンが観て楽しい映画じゃなさそうだもの。
おっさん好きが観ると楽しいかもしれません。熊がいっぱいいますから。
（しかもまた全体的に割合方向性が異なる方々ですからね。）
しかしなぜ全体の年齢構成を中年にしたのか、と言えば
中間管理職者に観てほしいからなのかもしれない、と思います。
その年齢として共感しやすいアラフォーを適度に配置したと。
偉大なる先代とそのばかな跡継ぎ。そういうことでしょう。
（獅子心王と失地王の年齢差が親子ほどに見えるのはそのせいでしょう。）
それからこれもOKPにあったのでお借りしました。

Kevinが「彼、ずっと弾いてるんだよ」と笑う。
リュートの音って軽くていいですね。
KevがNo tightsの話をしているときAlanが弾いているのがRoad To Ruin！（笑）
これアコーディオンの主導もいいけれどリュートもいいですねぇ。
映画より２人ともこぎれいに見えて笑える。
Alan最近また髭伸ばし始めたのかなぁと思っていたけど、
このインタビューは剃っていたので安心しました。
無い方がいいよ。ねえ？
全体的にKevinが可愛い。
総合的に何を言っているかほとんどわかりませんでした。
Alanはニューフィ訛りが強すぎるし、Kevは喋り方が不明瞭すぎる。
歌うときと同じぐらいの話し方をしてくれたらいいのに。

New to DVD: Kevin Durand is Robin Hood's big man

Kevin Durand stars as Little John in "Robin Hood."The glass ceiling for Kevin Durand's career can be measured in his 6-foot, 6-inch height. You've seen the actor from Thunder Bay, Ontario, as a menace ("Lost's" Martin Keamy), a misfit ("X-Men's" Blob and Joshua on "Dark Angel") or, on welcome occasions, a big man among merry men.
He played Little John in the 2010 version of "Robin Hood," available this week in a DVD and Blu-ray combo package ($39.98).
"Here in Hollywood it seems like at this point I have to really fight to play the smart guy, too," he said. "I guess probably because of my size. So to get to play Little John and be playing for the good guys, it was a nice opportunity."
"Robin Hood" not only reunited the Russell Crowe/Ridley Scott "Gladiator" team, it recruited Mr. Durand and Scott Grimes, Mr. Crowe's hockey teammates in "Mystery, Alaska," and their mutual friend Alan Doyle, of the band Great Big Sea.

"It just doesn't happen very often that you get to make an epic historical picture with three of your best friends. It was a total gift for all of us," Mr. Durand said by phone last week.
「３人の親友と叙事歴史映画を演じるなんて滅多にあることじゃない。
僕らみんなにとって、全くの贈り物だったんだ」
と先週電話でデュランド氏は語った。
"I got 'Mystery, Alaska' when I was 23 and went and did this movie with this Russell Crowe and this Scott Grimes guy, and I was a huge Great Big Sea fan. I gave them Great Big Sea CDs, and then they fell in love with the band. And through the years, Russell and Alan started writing songs together, and 13 years later, here we are, we're the merry men. We're very blessed."

Singer Doyle was a natural choice to play the minstrel Alan-a-Dale. In a great big coincidence, Great Big Sea is in town tonight, at the Byham Theater.
歌手のドイルには吟遊詩人のアラナデールはハマり役だった。
実際大いなる偶然で、GBSは今夜Byham Theaterでライブがある。
Robin and Little John could give Mr. Doyle some tips about enjoying Pittsburgh.
Mr. Crowe filmed "The Next Three Days" here, and Mr. Durand followed for the filming of "I Am Number Four," a sci-fi adventure that filmed in the city and Vandergrift.
He had trouble recalling the name Mount Washington, but the view left a big impression on the big man.
"I've never seen anything like that before. I just thought it was so beautiful to be able to see the entire city and all the plush greenery that surrounds it. It's a really beautiful city. I was really lucky to live in it for a couple of months."
Location shooting for "Robin Hood" offered delights of another sort. The story is a prequel to the legend's rob-from-the-rich, give-to-the-poor ideal, with a more realistic approach to 13th-century living and the political climate.
In Mr. Scott's film, Robin and Little John get into a tussle, but the iconic fight scene using staffs on a narrow bridge is MIA.
"There's nothing that says that that dogfight wouldn't happen in the future," Mr. Durand said. "It's just we're telling an origin story here. I thought it was really refreshing that a lot of the stuff we've seen over and over and over again wasn't there."
Evident is the bond among Robin and his men, which extended to off-duty hours. The merry men opted to stay in trailers during the days and nights shooting the final, huge battle scene on the beach in Wales.
"It certainly brought us even closer, because we were basically camping out," Mr. Durand said. "We would go to war with the French Normans, and it was just like the movie, then we would sit around the fire at night, cook food, sing songs, and a couple of beers were usually involved ... except our trailers had TVs and showers, so we weren't exactly roughing it like the merry men were."
Don't get the idea that it was all fun and games. Because he's often called on to play physically demanding roles, Mr. Durand said he never stops training, so that it's never a shock to his system when a part comes along.
As Little John, he had to look like a natural fighting with a staff and on horseback, and there were long days of training in Australia before filming began.
Mr. Durand was on the phone to promote the release of the DVD and Blu-ray versions of "Robin Hood." There's an additional 17 minutes interspersed throughout the "uncut director's version," and a Blu-ray feature that the actor was excited to mention.
"Ridley Scott is one of the great filmmakers of our generation, and we actually get a master class in filmmaking. ... You know how you usually have an audio commentary? He actually appears at the bottom of the screen and talks you through the process, which for me, I'm such a movie geek, I thought, wow, that was the first time I've seen that."
In saying goodbye, Mr. Durand sounded much more the fun-loving Little John than those other big, bad, misunderstood characters we've seen from him.
"My love to Pittsburgh," he said.
